Euijae Kim is an award-winning composer, orchestrator, and music producer specializing in narrative-driven compositions for film, television, and video games. An avid lover of the arts from an early age, her mission is to use music and sonic storytelling as powerful tools to bring depth and emotional resonance to every project she undertakes. Her music creates an organic, fantastical sound with striking melodies, sweeping harmonies, and a spiritual presence that invokes the human spirit.

Her creative journey commenced with classical piano at the age of 6, concurrently cultivating her musicality with classical music and playing the first violin in the orchestra. Her years performing in orchestras and chamber groups deepened her love for storytelling and honed her skills in orchestration and composition. This early immersion in ensemble work shaped her nuanced approach to creating music that serves the narrative. Euijae pursued studies in concert composition during her undergraduate years and is currently undertaking a master's degree in screen scoring at New York University. Euijae is the winner of the 2024 NYU Steinhardt Film Score Composition Competition as well as the recipient of the 2024 ASCAP Columbia University Film Scoring Composers Spotlight. Her orchestral piece, Rain Does Not Fall on One Roof Alone, was premiered and conducted by the conductor Ted Sperling, a Tony Award winner and the musical director of recent Broadway productions such as My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and The King and I. She is currently a member of SCL: The Society of Composers and Lyricists, the Alliance for Women Film Composers, showcasing her dedication to the art and industry of film composition.

Her unique style blends traditional orchestral elements with modern production techniques, combining analog and contemporary audio tools to craft distinctive sonic landscapes. Collaborating closely with directors and creators, Euijae fosters an environment of creative immersion and exploration, continually pushing the boundaries of her craft.

Through her music, Euijae seeks to tell stories that celebrate humanity’s beauty, struggles, and individuality, preserving a sense of wonder, curiosity, and courage. Her compositions aim to inspire change, deepen emotional connections, and highlight the universal themes that unite us all.
